This year weddings are going to be bigger and more beautiful than ever before. If you’re a celebrant, wedding planner, photographer, dress maker, beautician, florist or caterer, 2020 will be a busy year for you. Here are just some of the trends wedding watchers say we should look out for.
Recycling, upcycling, and reusable products are expected to be popular this year. Local, seasonal and even foraged flowers are set to be popular for environmentally conscious couples.
We’re assured that the timeless rose will be making a comeback and floral clouds are bursting onto the scene as well; huge and dramatic suspended creations that will no doubt be breath taking. They will also be time-consuming to create.
With a growing trend for hand-crafted and embroidered clothes for brides and grooms, talented arts and crafts people are also going to be in high demand.
The happy couple’s special day is more likely to be celebrated in big banqueting style this year too, with the whole wedding party seated at long and beautifully decorated tables – inside or in the great outdoors. Wedding venues that can offer big barns and marquees that will provide the perfect setting. Add a cloud of environmentally friendly bubbles around the couple instead of confetti for incredible photos, especially on a splendidly sunny wedding day where they’ll catch the light.
The big day won’t only be about ladies looking lovely. Gentlemen are embracing the idea of grooming for their special day too, so barbers and tailors can expect to be busy this year.
Caterers will need to be on standby to provide full vegetarian and vegan menus for environmental reasons and because there are so many exciting options to offer.
Bows, braids, headbands, beautiful natural make-up and luscious loose locks are all on the agenda too. The natural look will take time to create, along with a good regime of hair and skin care preparation before the happy day.

I would just like to say a big thank you to Sarah and all the staff at The Office Genie. I have now used the services of The Office Genie on a number of occasions, as call handling and managing my incoming emails and setting appointments in my diary.
My business is just me, being away on holiday or if previously I have been tied up in meetings and training, it meant that I would be neglecting my clients and my business, or in the case of being on holiday, it meant that I would still be working instead of relaxing when I needed to most.
